Film Soup of the day: Coffee in Vienna

I just discovered that one of my pictures was featured as „Photo of the Day“ on the Lomography website last week. Yay! Here is how I managed to get this look on the picture:

Push film to it’s limits.

Back in August, I brewed fresh film soup for a roll of color negative film: Coffee. I love coffee and I love what it does to the photographic emulsion. I soaked a roll of Lomography Color 100 in hot coffee for about half an hour and let it dry on the balcony. With the film and my Holga 135 I went to Vienna and took a walk through the city. Back home I developed the film as usual.

Nice. Did you soak it in a dark room or in the film cannister?

I soaked the film canister in coffee. Takes some time to dry after that.

Cool. Did you simply soak the entire cannister and then dry it without unspooling the film in a dark room?
